On the 28th it was announced that a new song that has been playing in the sushi chain based in Osaka "Kura Corpo", has become a hot topic in the internet, and will appear on a CD. Music producer Tsunku (41) was in charge of "Appare Kaiten Sushi!", which will go on sale on October 27th. To spread the sushi culture around the world a new female idol unit will be born, called "Muten Musume". (You can expect them, but) who could be the members!?

Japan wants to tell the world about one of their prides, food culture, with a song! This big concept was known since the 13th, where the song "Appare Kaiten Sushi" started to be played in the Kura Corpo stores.

♪ osushi ga naze suki ka, otona ni wakarukai? zarya sugu taberarete, sugu ni manpuku...

An up-tempo song, with friendly lyrics/phrases, is featured for the chain based in Osaka. It's a friendly song for people from adults to children.

On every Kura Corpo store, people were asking things like "What is that song?", "Who is singing it?". And it became a hot talk on internet as well. The name of the mysterious unit has been revealed and it's "Muten Musume".

With the "pressure" (in a good sense) of the voices that talked about the song so much, and the girls wearing veil, it's been decided that a CD will be released. There's still 2 months to go until it goes on sale, but the members/reality of the unit has been revealed. Wherever you listen to the singing voices (of that song), since the group's name has "Musume" in the end of it, it means it's produced by Tsunku, and that it's related to the popular idol group Morning Musume.

This project came to life since the very beginning of this year. The sushi chain shop is related to/depends on producer Tsunku. His "treasured child" Momusu is excluded from this promotion, and it's been decided that it will "Muten Musume" who does all the (promotional) activities (related to this song).

Featuring the favourite food of the 8 members of Morning Musume, new characters have been created/designed, they're attached on this article [see below]. Each of them has been designed in anime style A karaoke clip of the song has been uploaded in the website of the sushi chain shop. Leader AiAi, Takahashi Ai (23) said enthusiastically "As Muten Musume, we'll be helping to spread around the world the culture of Japan's own sushi".

Since the release of Shibugakitai's hit song "Sushi kui nee!", it's been a long time since a "sushi song" has been created. Momusu will build up a new boom.

What kind of guy is a popular guy?
Isn’t it the funny ones? I’m at the very edge of that (lol). All my friends are without a doubt popular, they’re really funny and can get really riled up. And if you’re like that then girls will think “Being with this guy is fun!” you know? That’s definitely a key point. I’ve gotta improve how I talk. To be popular. But I’m honest/serious. Really honest/serious. I’ll do what I gotta do. I tried to advertise myself there (lol). A popular guy, huh? I think being kind is the number one issue. Even if it’s just over a little thing. For example, if you’re meeting somewhere cold, buying a warm drink to give to her. I think real kindness is in those small points of kindness.

What kind of girl is a popular girl?
I like girls who won’t lie and who are honest. Also, girls with a bright personality. But honestly, I’m not sure what type I really like.

To appeal to girls, what part of you is manly?
I’m a punching machine. I’m the kind of guy who will beat down the final boss… I’m kidding (lol). Leaving aside the jokes, I think manliness is something you won’t see right away. As time passes, when he protects you. During the fun times. When he shows you power during the tough times. But I guess manliness than can be seen in an instant is needed too. When it comes to that, being a punching machine is good after all (lol). If you can’t beat them all down to the last one it’s frustrating. If she doesn’t want to be with me on the way home then… Why was she okay with going out to eat with me. Though there are limits. If it was like 5 AM I wouldn’t escort her home. The limit might be 3AM. If she was somewhere with another guy I wouldn’t want her out with him past 1 or 2… actually, I don’t want you to go out with him in the first place. If my girl went out to eat with another guy that would be unbelievable! Even if it’s just a guy friend that’s no no no good I hate it. After all, I don’t go out to eat with my friends that are girls alone.

How have you been recently?
I about to start filming for the “Proposal Daisakusen Special”. Since the drama ended I’ve met with everyone 5 or 6 times, so it doesn’t feel like it’s been that long since the drama. We’re all get along a little too much. But I think how we get along definitely shows in the drama. Communication is really important, definitely. I think that. Privately… how would it be if I ate shaved ice outside in the middle of winter?- I mean, I actually experimented with it. My body was totally freezing (lol). But it was delicious. Really, midwinter is really about shaved ice or soumen. Tomorrow maybe I’ll challenge soumen (lol). Society wise, everyone’s getting excited about Valentine’s Day. I want a lot of love too. Please, fill me with it.

What kind of guy is a popular guy?
The other day I had a class reunion with my classmates from elementary school and I was told “You were popular back then” to which I responded “Eh, I was?” totally surprised. I wasn’t self-aware of being popular at all (lol). When there were things like the class president being decided on, I wanted to stand out so ended up being a candidate but there was always someone else picked in the end by recommendation. Normally, if there’s a popular guy who’s a candidate, doesn’t he get picked (lol)? What’s with that~ if I had actually been that popular I would have liked to have been able to know (lol). But speaking seriously, I think people who have the ability to self produce themselves are the popular ones. This means people who can objectively see themselves. I was really no good at that in the past. In the past I had long hair and was aiming to be someone kind of ‘bad boy’-ish, even though from the female staff I’d often be told “It’d be better if you cut your hair” (lol). But when you’re young you do a lot of different things, for no reason but to rebel… kinda? (lol) But now as I’ve passed 20 I feel like I’m coming to be able to see myself objectively, if just a little bit. Like maybe it’s okay not to totally go against the common image people in the world have, stuff like that.

What kind of girl is a popular girl?
On a personal level I tend to like girls who tend not to be really girly. For example, those who don’t even have one strap on their cellphone, or those who seem like they’d sent text messages with tons of decorations but actually don’t use any emoji’s at all, those kinds of girls make me think “Ooh!?” and then I might be more conscious of them.

I already had a coming out about this on a “photoshigenic” page, but Kato Shigeaki is a “oranyan” person (lol).

Are you a jealous person?
I think I’m surprisingly not. It’s OK if she texted with her guy friends. Ehh, if she went to see a movie with Koyama? Aah~ if it’s Koyama I would kind of be opposed to that (lol). Texting with guy friends is fine, but if a girl went out to eat with her guy friends too I’d be a bit curious. On the phone I might be like “Huh?” and seem tough but my soft side would end up coming out (lol). If a girl got jealous and was really insistent on it then that’d be troubling, but just a little would make me happy. If someone can not be jealous at all, it means they really trust their girlfriend. But then if she betrayed that trust it’d be a pretty big shock.

How have you been recently?
We’re at the height of our tour now. This time I’m personally not trying too hard to be cool and doing it really relaxed, running around and smiling a lot… yeah, I feel like it’s really become a new concert compared with our old ones. And I think we’ll be able to use our experiences from this one in the future.

Yaotome: The one that changed from Debut to now is Keito. And then Ryuutaro, Chinen…
Yabu: Yuto changed too. Yama-chan is relatively an adult, but even so he changed.
Yaotome: So basically 7 all changed. First of all, when they talk to us, it changed from formal (Keigo) to casual language. It’s a good change.
Yabu: In the first place, before we formed, I don’t think I had a chance to talk to Keito.
Yaotome: For me, I actually had some times when we would go home the same direction.
Yabu: Do you remember when you were nervous thinking “It’ll just be the two of us going home today.”? (Laugh)
Yaotome: I’m bad with silence or tension in the air, so I always nervously thought about what kind of things to talk about (laugh). I think it took about a year to be able to talk normally.
Yabu: My conversations with Keito were filled with caution points and commands like “It’s better if you did this.”
Yaotome: He also frantically taught choreography.
Yabu: Ryuutaro is like that too. There was a lot of things to be taught, but he was definitely despised because the way he said things was sometimes strict. (laugh)
Yaotome: When we’re nice we’re not taken seriously, and yet when we’re strict we’re destined to be despised. (laugh)
Yabu: But there’s also the responsibility that comes with a group’s formation, so it all can’t be just fun. As I’m serious(literally ‘desperate’) about this, even I become strict at times.
Yaotome: And for some reason, the two of us ended up getting the big brother positions. I had thought that we could just continue working as we were, but the others were like “you have to be getting things together since you’re older.” It was a harsh start.
Yabu: Because we’re scattered. To be honest, I was anxious whether we could keep things going with the ten of us.
Yaotome: Actually it was only anxiety back then (laugh). And we became irritated because of that. For BEST, even if our ages aren’t that different, the things they think of for the concerts are so different. We would be thinking about “What do we do for MC?” “I wonder if everyone is nervous?”, but Dai-chan’s just eating his bento as if nothing’s wrong (laugh).
Yabu: And then we’ll be angry. We’ll think, “Do you know how much we’re worrying over the concert!” If you think about it, everyone really changed.
Yaotome: Yeah. We worry less about the MC, and for the concert, everyone thinks about it on his own.
Yabu: Because we’re together all the time, we don’t notice the change, but when we talk about it likes this, it certainly changed.
Yaotome: Talking about the MC, Dai-chan often cried about it (laugh). Even introducing the songs, he’d be stumbling with his words.
Yabu: When there is a time for everyone to talk, there’s only a short reply like “yeah” (laugh). That just shows how much improvement we’ve made.
Yaotome: Now there are times where I would wanna insert tsukkomi like, “What kind of character was that supposed to be?” In the concert’s game corner or something, if anyone makes a mistake, everyone talks noisily, and then suddenly say “Because of this, the game is more fun” or something like that to conclude it!
Yabu: We’ve been able to be more conclusive about things (laugh).
Yaotome: But it seems like this has become a talk about troubles/hardships (laugh). Of course, there were tons of fun stuff that happened. Like being Volleyball supporters was fun. Right after our debut, all of our work made us nervous, the supporting side was able to overlook things, and able to relax a lot. The waiting time was long and the member were able to chat leisurely.
Yabu: That waiting time was valuable. There were members who were doing homework too (laugh).
Yaotome: Because it was our first live broadcast or relay experience, everyone independently practiced.
Yabu: We decided the assignments. Not only follow the script, but add something yourself or something.
Yaotome: How nostalgic. Now that you talk about it, Yabu took the Tsukkomi position, but wouldn’t you say that he’s now more Boke?
Yabu: You’re probably right. Sometimes I Boke and nobody Tsukkomis so I would think that oh, I shouldn’t be the one to Boke. But now Hikaru and Yama-chan follow up with Tsukkomi so I’m pretty relieved (laugh). Hikaru was initially a Boke, but now I would say that you’re more of a Tsukkomi.
Yaotome: You’re right. But you know, when we’ve all matured like this and they don’t need our support as they did before, wouldn’t we get a bit lonely?
Yabu: Probably. Somehow I feel like a parent (laugh).
Yaotome: Even when if we say that it’s all troublesome/exhausting, there might be a part of us that enjoys taking care of the others. And I think that that ultimately gives us more experience and we mature because of that.
Yabu: For sure. The fact that the two years went by so quickly shows just how fun and fulfilling this has all been. I hope we can begin to tackle new projects. It’ll be interesting if we did a movie with the ten of us, right?
Yaotome: Sounds fun. In the end, I want to do more work with the ten of us. Because besides concerts, there’s not that much things we do as the ten of us. When we stand on a different stage, I want to see what it’s like.
